Job Description

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Supply Chain Specialist in DEKALB, Illinois. The role is situated within the manufacturing industry and focuses on managing various aspects of planning, purchasing, and commercial activities. This position provides an extensive training program and offers developmental pathways into various roles such as Production Planning Lead, Supply Chain Lead, Commercial Analyst, or Process Improvement Related Fields.

Responsibilities:

- Manage planning and shipping support operations

- Handle the creation and management of purchase orders

- Engage with vendors to ensure smooth supply chain operations

- Provide reports of customer analysis to inform business decisions

- Participate in plant meetings to coordinate and optimize operations

- Perform order entry tasks and review contracts to ensure compliance

- Utilize ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning tools for efficient supply chain management

- Leverage Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting tasks

- Oversee logistics and distribution to ensure timely delivery of products

- Use MS Great Plains Accounting and Great Plains (GPAC) for financial tracking and reporting

- Develop and implement supply chain logistics strategies to optimize operations. Requirements – Proficiency in using the 3M system for manufacturing processes.

- Experience with ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning.

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

- Knowledge of Logistics & Distribution operations in the manufacturing industry.

- Experience in Supply Chain Logistics, specifically related to manufacturing.

- Familiarity with MS Great Plains Accounting for financial management.

- Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) for managing manufacturing processes.
