The Role

The Senior IDEAS (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Allyship, and Social Impact) Consultant is pivotal in orchestrating Employee Resource Group (ERG) activities, driving Social Impact initiatives, supporting companywide IDEAS initiatives, and creating compelling content and resources on IDEAS topics. This role demands a proactive approach, leveraging project management expertise to embed IDEAS into our organizational fabric.

Location

+ This is a fully remote position open to candidates based anywhere in the U.S. with preferred locations being Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC, Monroe, LA or Orlando, FL as that is where other members of the IDEAS team are based

+ 5-10% travel for conferences, ERG Summit, team office calibrations

The Main Responsibilities

+ Maintain and enhance the IDEAS SharePoint site, external Lumen.com/career IDEAS site, and promote ERG, Social Impact, and IDEAS events on Viva Engage platform.

+ Manage IDEAS tickets routed through the HR ticketing system, responding directly or reassigning as appropriate.

+ Gather and organize data for the ESG Report and coordinate cross-functional responses to external diversity focused surveys.

+ Facilitate the planning and execution of ERG events (including heritage month celebrations, annual ERG Summit, and significant milestones) in collaboration with ERG Events, Communications, and Global Chairs to ensure event success and visibility to Lumen employees and ERG members.

+ Utilize the ERG Management System to create robust event metric reporting, enhancing Senior Leadership insights.

+ Formulate and refine ERG strategies and initiatives in partnership with the ERG Program Manager and board members, and make recommendations for new programs based on benchmark data and stay current on ERG developments.

+ Support the management of the Social Impact ambassador program.

+ Provide administrative backing for Lumen Clarke M. Williams Foundation initiatives and prepare presentations for Foundation board meetings.

What We Look For in a Candidate

+ Minimum 3+ years of experience in Diversity & Inclusion, Corporate Social Responsibility, or Human Resources

+ Demonstrated experience with work prioritization and process improvement

+ Must have excellent communication (oral and written), analytical, customer service, problem solving, and presentation skills

+ Project management experience collaborating with stakeholders across various functions

+ ERG or non-profit board member experience preferred

Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee’s primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$63,980 – $85,300 in these states: AR ID KY LA ME MS NE SC SD

$67,340 – $89,780 in these states: AL AZ FL GA IA IN KS MO MT ND NM OH OK PA TN UT VT WI WV WY

$70,710 – $94,270 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI

$74,070 – $98,760 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA

As with the pay range variety that’s based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
