Position Summary: The Accounting Supervisor is involved in managing various financial packages, general ledger and project tasks that focus on positively impacting the business, while creating an environment for accelerated learning and development. This position is a key contributor in the day-to-day and long-term strategic initiatives of the finance team. The Accounting Supervisor will oversee the work of the staff accountants. This position will help with the implementation of training new hires and identifying training opportunities for current staff. Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

+ Business analysis of operations to identify process improvements within the accounting function

+ General ledger accounting work including journal entry preparation, reconciliations, monthly account analysis, etc.

+ Support and lead and a team of staff accountants

+ Project management of key initiatives for the Accounting Manager including projects that report to senior management

+ Assists and oversees internal and external audits

+ Analyzes monthly variances and communicates findings to key stakeholders

+ Supports monthly forecasting process and provides input to the team

+ Supports and leads various processes related to the annual planning and budget cycles

+ Leads ad-hoc projects to support and drive the business

+ Other projects or duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

+ 5+ years of Accounting experience

+ Thorough knowledge of P&L, Balance Sheet, and cash flow statements

+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills

+ Advanced skill level of Microsoft Excel

+ Ability to work independently and on a team

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills

+ Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects concurrently

+ Demonstrate growth and advancement of responsibilities

+ Travel up to 10%

+ This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test
