Job Description

This position is responsible for a variety of financial duties surrounding the planning, forecasting, analysis, pricing, and reporting functions for the Pasta Business Unit. This includes periodic reporting of financial results, variance analysis versus plan and prior year, forecasts, the annual budget process, data consolidation and special projects. Partner with finance leaders and cross functional teams to provide financial guidance and analytics to support key decision making to help ensure that the categories objectives are achieved. Actively participate in key finance functional initiatives. This position will play a strategic role for the category and heavily partner with the division’s General Management (GM) team as well as key functional leaders. This role is expected to provide insightful analysis and decision support to the category leadership team on opportunities/risks, pricing & business proposals, rationalization/segmentation of existing customers/products, and evaluation of future/past investments.

Job Description:

+ Collaborate with the category sales, accounting and supply chain teams to report out on monthly results, future profitability forecast, annual strategic objectives and other key metrics and measures Consolidate annual plan, monthly reporting and monthly forecasting for Condiments.

+ Ensure consistency of reporting and analysis across all categories in the Division.

+ Perform monthly forecasting and analysis for elements of the P&L.

+ Own research and documentation of variances to benchmarks.

+ Collaborate and facilitate with the GM Team and functional groups (Sales, Marketing, Cost Accounting, Supply Chain, etc.) to ensure pricing strategies being executed meet both short-term and long-term financial and business objectives.

+ Collaborate with the FP&A team to identify opportunities to enhance stream-line and more effectively analyze and report on metrics and trends to improve results.

+ Actively participate in monthly S&OP process providing feedback on changes based on recent results, trends, bids, and other activity occurring with customers in the category.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

+ Technical Skills: high level of proficiency with Excel, and solid financial knowledge base required

+ Communication Skills: ability to communicate financial concepts clearly, to both financial and non-financial audiences. Ability to speak and write concisely and effectively, communicating in a timely manner.

+ Reasoning Skills: problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills are key personal attributes

+ Integrity: the successful candidate will have a reputation for integrity, initiative, perseverance, success, and confidentiality

+ Personal Interaction: must enjoy working in a collaborative and team oriented environment.

+ Must be comfortable meeting deadlines, and able to prioritize tasks in a highly dynamic environment.

+ Individual should be comfortable interacting with varying levels of the organization and across different functional groups

Education:

+ Bachelor’s Degree Required – Type: Finance or related field

+ Minimum three years’ experience is preferred

+ Previous financial experience in CPG / Manufacturing environment preferred Experience with SAP or other ERP system (business intelligence) a plus
