Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer

Job Description

Seeking a skilled Embedded Software Engineer to create, modify, and maintain embedded software for boards utilizing 8 to 32 bit microcontrollers, sensors, and motor drivers. This role involves maintaining and enhancing the existing code base to meet customer and product requirements, developing efficient software architecture for various communications including I2C, SPI, UART, RS232, RS485, LVDS, and TCP/IP. The candidate will ensure code development adheres to specified Quickset coding standards and industry best practices to deliver scalable and secure solutions. Responsibilities also include debugging and troubleshooting prototyping boards using various electrical test equipment, and approving final designs to assure functionality and reliability.

Hard Skills

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably EE)

+ 5-10 years’ experience programming in C for embedded software

+ Experience with 8/32 bit microcontrollers and RTOS

+ Knowledge in motion control, sensor, camera, or vision systems

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Northern Chicago, Illinois.
