About the Role: Managing the day-to-day operations of the Vendor Request desk to ensure the correct forms and documents are submitted by all areas of the business when proposing a new vendor for use. Supporting overall vendor management initiatives to ensure that the total number of active vendors are minimized as much as possible without reducing operational agility for the field.

+ Establish and maintain relationships with general managers, location admins/support staff and corporate department heads to ensure that vendor creation processes are understood and adhered to.

+ Work with the procurement department to authorize, categorize and track active vendors.

+ Oversee periodic vendor merge/purge process to ensure that active vendor list is managed. Support master data integrations (users, approval levels, vendors, customers, cost centers, chart of accounts) between ERP and supporting systems.

+ Create process documentation for existing workflows and participate in future process integration and enhancement.

+ Utilize tools such as Dun and Bradstreet to identify high risk vendors for the organization. Provide user and workflow administration on software such as JD Edwards (Financial) and Basware (AP Automation)

+ Train new and existing locations on vendor processes/procedures/policy items.

+ Track and report key metrics ⢠Provide support for FinTech special projects ⢠Other administrative/support duties as assigned

Education, Licensing, and Certifications:

Bachelor’s Degree

Experience: 1-3 years or greater experience

Skills and Knowledge Required:

+ Demonstrated strengths in the areas of service and team building skills, including evidence of ability to work independently and in close conjunction with others.

+ Proven people skills with the ability to work constructively with different personalities.

+ Experience dealing with a variety of employees at all levels of the company in a professional manner.

+ Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills, to effectively build relationships with internal and external customers.

+ Intermediate proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

+ Ability to adapt to different situations and subcultural business values

Skills and Knowledge Preferred:

+ Solid priority management and attention to detail, including ability to prioritize multiple assignments and deliver on time

+ JD Edwards, Basware and/or Bottomline experience a plus

+ Must think strategically, identify issues and find a reasonable solution

+ Strong sense of creativity to think outside the box

Travel requirement outside of immediate area: <5%
