Job Description

Be part of a team assessing and driving achievement of program-specific performance within Honeywell UOP-UPT Equipment. An opening exists for a Lead Controls Project Engineer, Equipment, Process Information, and Controls (PIC) in Des Plaines, IL.. You will be accountable for managing PIC control system projects. You will lead prioritization of work packages, design goals and objectives, and drive performance.

You will partner with world-class engineering and leaders to implement product strategies, develop program schedules and milestones, define technology roadmaps, and drive improvements in engineering quality and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

+ PIC/PSA/GP Project Scope review

+ PIC/PSA/GP Project Execution management through delivery

+ Primary customer interface throughout the execution

+ Own project customer checkouts

+ Own product portfolio

+ Determine control system as well as work process improvements

+ Implement control system as well as work process improvements

+ Address Project barriers

+ Provide Sales Support assistance

+ Provide Service Support assistance

+ Maintain ISO certification

YOU MUST HAVE

+ Bachelor’s Degree Electrical Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering AND Minimum 15 years experience OR Associate Degree Electrical Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering AND Minimum 20 years experience

+ Detailed design experience with Honeywell C300, Honeywell Safety Manager, Rockwell Allen-Bradley, Siemens S7, and Modicon PLC hardware

+ PLC network architecture understanding

+ Intrinsic Safety Barrier knowledge and Hazardous environment

+ AutoCAD working knowledge
