job summary:
A Design Engineer is needed for a world leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives in the Pontiac, IL area. This position supports EUI injector design and new technology projects at the Pontiac, IL facility, requiring technical expertise, teamwork, and hands-on problem-solving.

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:
+ Responsibility for 3 design controls for Injectors.
+ Support the EUI injector product family produced at the Pontiac, IL production facility.
+ Design controls used worldwide in various applications: Machine, Electric Power, Industrial.
Typical Task Breakdown:
+ Start most days with a team meeting to review current activities.
+ Work from the Pontiac office under guidance of a lead engineer.
+ Support new technology introduction (NTI) projects.
Education & Experience Required:
+ Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience.
Technical Skills (Required):
+ Good communication (verbal and written).
+ Experience using Creo.
+ Willingness to work “hands on.”
+ Sound technical knowledge to interpret design-related validation and analysis results.
