Job Description

Architecture and Engineering firm in the Western suburbs of Chicago is looking to add a Mechanical Engineer to their team!

Job Description:

+ Tasks for this position include designing aspects of mechanical, plumbing and fire protection engineering systems in Revit

+ Project types include municipal buildings for local communities

+ Will report directly to the Mechanical Department Head

+ Attend weekly team meetings to discuss project deadlines, tasks, and upcoming workload

+ Communicate with Architects (in-house), client, and consultants when necessary

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

+ Degree must be accredited in the United States

+ 2+ years of experience within an architecture or MEP firm

+ This does not include internship experience or experience outside of US standards and building codes

+ Automation, manufacturing, thermal, mechatronics backgrounds are NOT applicable

+ Ability to become licensed

+ Familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures within this field and ability to write specifications

+ Must have professional experience designing HVAC, plumbing and mechanical systems

+ This does not include internship experience or experience outside of US standards and building codes

+ AutoCAD, Revit full proficiency
