The Role

We are looking for a Film Editorial Creative Lead, who will be the lead editor on short documentaries, animated explainers, and company-wide showcases. You will work closely with the director, producer, and other editors to shape the narrative, style, and tone of our projects. In addition to overseeing the film editorial workflow, you will be at the forefront, leading and managing the editorial team with a strategic vision. Your role will encompass not only the supervision of day-to-day operations but also the ownership of the overarching strategy, ensuring that the team’s efforts align with the company’s objectives and result in the delivery of high-quality final products. You will report to the Creative Director and collaborate with other departments such as marketing, design, and social media. You will be part of the creative team within Lumen Technologies Corporate Communications, a global leader in integrated communications solutions. This role is pivotal in blending tactical and operational duties while supervising the activity of others and being accountable for the team’s performance and results. The Main Responsibilities

+ Craft Unique Narratives: Utilize Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects to edit and create distinctive stories that resonate with our brand and audience.

+ Enhance Project Quality: Elevate visual and audio elements with your creative and technical acumen.

+ Lead and Mentor: Offer guidance and feedback to the editorial staff, fostering a collaborative environment.

+ Manage Editorial Excellence: Oversee the entire film editorial process, ensuring quality and adherence to schedules and budgets.

+ Strategic Communication: Liaise effectively with key stakeholders to maintain a cohesive creative vision.

+ Stay Ahead: Remain informed on cutting-edge trends and practices within the film editorial field.

What We Look For in a Candidate

+ Expertise Required: Training in film, media, or a related field, coupled with at least 8 years of editorial experience, preferably with documentaries or high-impact content.

+ Technical Proficiency: Mastery of film editorial software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.

+ Storytelling Savant: A proven track record of crafting compelling narratives for diverse audiences.

+ Aesthetic Insight: A keen eye for aesthetics, pacing, and rhythm.

+ Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring quality and precision.

Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee’s primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$94,420 – $125,890 in these states: AR ID KY LA ME MS NE SC SD

$99,390 – $132,510 in these states: AL AZ FL GA IA IN KS MO MT ND NM OH OK PA TN UT VT WI WV WY

$104,360 – $139,140 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI

$109,330 – $145,770 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA

As with the pay range variety that’s based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
