Overview:

Xerox company, is seeking a motivated Shop Technician to join our team based in Bolingbrook, IL. The Shop Technician is responsible for set-up and refurbishment of a variety of printers and copiers, including Xerox and other manufacturers. This is a full-time opportunity in a shop / warehouse setting.

What You’ll Do:

+ Assemble and refurbish various models and manufacturers of copiers and printers for our customers

+ Customize and install software, applications and other customer requested programs

+ Troubleshoot, breakdown and diagnose equipment in need of repair, including software and hardware updates

+ Test equipment for performance and copy quality

+ Ensure that required materials are included in packaging

+ Confirm that corresponding assigned serial numbers match with order requests

+ Update the operations team on the status of each work order

+ Assist with warehouse operations such as unboxing and distributing materials while maintaining a clean, organized and safe work environment

What You Need to Succeed:

+ Displays a willingness to be trained on digital office equipment

+ Prior hands-on experience with troubleshooting, mechanical and electrical equipment repairs

+ Ability to use hand tools

+ Strong time management skills

+ Ability to lift, push, pull and maneuver objects weighing up to 100lbs.

+ Experience using smartphones, laptops and tablets with exposure to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

+ Previous experience with software and hardware updates preferred

+ Familiarity with networking and internet connectivity preferred

+ Experience with copiers and printers preferred
