Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).
Pay Rate - $18.50
Shift/Schedule:
Weekly Schedule (how many hours/days): We are flexible with her schedule - but could be 7 days/week during the busy pollinating season.
* Shift Times: 7:30 - 4:00 pm - may adjust with weather and field conditions
Job Description: Inside/Outside Research Worker (Seasonal)
Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Inside/Outside Research Worker for a seasonal position to one of our direct client. This role will involve working both indoors and outdoors, depending on the season, supporting various research activities related to agricultural sciences.
Key Responsibilities:

Outside Research Duties (Typically Summer/Fall):
- Harvesting plant material according to defined protocols
- Maintaining research plots
- Discarding seeds
- Collecting field data
- Performing general housekeeping tasks

Inside Research Duties (Typically Winter/Spring):
- Receiving and sorting incoming seed
- Counting seed manually or using machines for experiments
- Sorting seed packets for planting and shipping
- Shelling/Threshing crops
- Conditioning seed
- Operating research equipment
- Applying seed treatments
- Maintaining general cleanliness
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
- Basic computer skills and ability to navigate software
- Proficiency in written and spoken English preferred
- Effective communication skills with supervisors and team members
- Adherence to standard operating and safety procedures
- Flexibility in scheduling; willingness to work up to 7 days a week during peak seasons
- Capability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Capacity to handle agricultural elements such as pollen, dust, and field chemicals (minimal exposure)
- Readiness to travel to offsite locations as required
- Physical ability to stand, walk, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Punctuality and reliability in attendance
- Experience with barcode scanners or inventory systems beneficial
- Previous warehouse or distribution experience a plus
