Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc. (WJE) is looking for a full-time Legal Administrative Associate to provide support to our Corporate Legal team located inNorthbrook, Illinois.

As our Legal Administrative Associate, you will be responsible for two primary functional areas:
Insurance Support:
Assist the Insurance Coordinator with preparing, issuing and tracking insurance certificates
Respond to staff members and clients on insurance requests and coverage questions
Gather required documentation for renewal applications
Maintain files on all the company's business insurance coverages
Coordinate filing of auto and general liability claims
Update the company's reports regarding coverages and premiums
Contact broker regarding special coverages, unusual coverage questions, forms and questionnaires that need to be completed by agent
Provide assistance to the attorneys regarding contractual insurance reviews
Administrative Support:
Provide administrative support to Executive Vice President as needed i.e. expense reports, email sorting, mailings, reports, etc.
Provide administrative support to the legal unit staff
Perform general office functions for legal department, such as processing correspondence, mail, and FedEx packages; managing office supplies and equipment; scanning, copying, printing, and uploading and managing legal documents on company portal, etc.
Code and process legal related Invoices for payment
Reconcile monthly corporate credit card statements
Act as unit IT contact for information updates and working with IT Department for software and equipment purchases
Assist unit paralegal with management of firm licensing requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (English, History, Classics Philosophy, or similar a plus) preferred; with at least two years of prior administrative work experience preferred, but not required
Excellent writing skills with an emphasis on editing and proofreading
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities and project deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse professionals at all seniority levels in a fast-paced environment
Proactive problem-solving skills and willingness to take on various responsibilities
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires visual acuity and listening ability along with the ability to read and write. Individuals must have the dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, copiers, telephones, voicemail systems, and other office equipment. The position requires the ability to remain for extended periods at a workstation, as well as the ability to lift 25 pounds. Long periods of standing and walking may be required during event periods.
Annual starting base salary (gross): $47,800 - $77,900. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on several factors including consideration for a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base salary is one component of our total compensation package for employees.
