Job Title:Project Leader, R&D
Location:Stillwater, MN

Job Scope
Lead a team of scientists to design and develop automated immunodiagnostic assays to assess health and disease.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

 

Support new and current diagnostic product lines.

Lead and manage 2-6 Development Scientists.
Manage development and validation projects for new and improved immunodiagnostics according to defined timelines.
Design and conduct experiments for the development of immunodiagnostic assays.

Contribute to multiple product development projects simultaneously.

Maintain accurate and complete records through computer systems and laboratory notebooks according to QSR/ISO requirements.

Conduct work according to Good Manufacturing Practices and Safety Procedures.

Analysis and reporting of data and results using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Present technical information in formal settings.

Contribute to external scientific publications, posters and presentations.

Train DiaSorin personnel and mentor junior staff.

Maintain laboratory equipment.

Source and select raw materials and supplies.

Troubleshoot assay performance issues and customer complaints.

Generate ideas leading to new or improved products and internal processes.

Provide workable solutions to large development technical problems.

Apply understanding and interpret results of how assay performance issues relate to the biology, chemistry and physiology of the assay reagents and clinical indications.

Work collaboratively with representatives from other departments as part of a project core team.
