Northwestern University is seeking a temporary Part-time Assistant Coordinator.

Temporary Job Description:
This is a 9-month part-time professional opportunity ideal for an individual with teaching, coaching, or mentoring experience and a desire to support college students' academic growth. There is opportunity for yearly renewal, dependent on performance and budget.
Northwestern University's office of Academic Support & Learning Advancement is looking for a part-time Assistant Learning Programs Coordinator with strong organizational and communication skills to support the unit's peer-learning programs.
Features of the role:
15 hours per week throughout the academic year; flexible schedule within business hours

Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to communicate effectively with a range of constituents, in person and in writing
High-level understanding of and sensitivity to diversity and inclusion in learning environments
Ability to provide sensitive but forthright feedback to undergraduates
Ability to work very occasional evening or weekend hours
A bachelor's degree, master's preferred
Background in learning support, teaching/education, or student services is a plus
Responsibilities:
Support logistical management of a large peer-learning program (e.g., waitlist management, attendance tracking, collection and distribution of information from faculty)
Contribute to the peer-leader recruitment and selection process, both supporting logistics and taking part in selection activities
Contribute to quality control in peer-learning programs through collecting feedback, observing, and providing formative feedback to peer group leaders
Support maintenance of learning management system (Canvas) and provide student feedback for a peer-leader training course
About the unit: Academic Support & Learning Advancement (ASLA) offers a range of academic support programs for undergraduate students at Northwestern, including tutoring and facilitated study groups, academic coaching, and other resources and events. ASLA serves nearly 7,000 students a year and is the central resource on campus for undergraduate learning support.
