Responsibilities

 

This employee is responsible for the set-up and operation of the paint booth system. The employee must also monitor the process and quality of the product and make necessary corrections to the process to maintain a steady flow of quality product to the customer.
Responsibilities include
Initiates color changes per schedule.
Inspects cylinder for visual defects.
Operates nozzle type electrostatic painting equipment to spray positively charged paint particles onto negatively charged cylinders.
Moves switches and dials to start flow current and to activate conveyor and paint spraying equipment.
Turns valves and observes gauges to set pressure and to control flow of paint to each spray station.
Inspects painted units for runs and unpainted areas.
Readjusts pressure valves to control direction and pattern of spray and to correct flaws in coating.
Cleans paint from ceiling and walls of booth and from disks, nozzles, and hoses.
Hand sprays parts to cover unpainted areas.
Works at different workstations as production needs require.
Operation of lifting devices as needed.
