The Copywriter will sit on our in-house marketing communications team, the IDEAL Digital Center of Excellence (DCOE). They will be responsible for bringing the voice and stories of our corporation and its industry-leading brands to life. The position will support IDEAL Industries, Inc. and our three brands: IDEAL Electrical, Anderson Power, and Enatel. The copywriter will first and foremost be a storyteller. They should possess the ability to transition from polished, professional tones to creative and snarky wit - in copy and creative concepts. With responsibility for both short and long form copywriting across social media, email/SMS marketing, website copy, press releases, blog/rich content and video storyboards, the copywriter should be able to write and concept messaging across mediums that brings our brands' unique voices to life.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Social Media Copywriting - Own the voice of our brands' social media channels. Craft engaging captions and copy for creative assets for use across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.
Email and SMS Copywriting - Communicate with our customers. Craft copy for email subject lines, headlines and body copy and SMS messages that convert to opens and clicks.
Long-Form Copywriting - Dive into the mind of our customers and help solve their problems. Research and interview subject matter experts. Plan, execute, and create rich content (articles, videos, infographics, etc) and press releases in digital-first ways. Utilize SEO and search research tools to inform and strategize digital content for use across mediums.
Website Copywriting - Shape our digital story. In an SEO-friendly manner, provide copy for headlines, subheads and body copy that create symmetry in our campaign and brand voices.
Develop fluency in the company's multiple brand voices and ensure all copy is consistent and aligns to the brand and channel.
Work with internal teams to build product, channel, and end-user acumen to ensure outputs reflect the appropriate level of subject matter expertise.
Edit and proofread all content to ensure accuracy and quality.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Four-year college degree in creative writing, marketing, advertising, communications, or related degrees
3-5 years copywriting experience
1-2 years SEO experience
1-2 years B2B copywriting experience
1-2 years experience with visual storytelling (video scripts, infographic creation, etc)
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
Must have ability to travel within the US or abroad on occasion
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
