Corporate Center in Hydro is mainly located at Vkero and has around 260 employees within the areas of Finance, People & Safety, Legal and Compliance, Communication & Public Affairs and Corporate Development.

SUMMARY:
The Director, Scrap Procurement NA, will lead all raw materials procurement processes for the Hydro Recycling North America plants, manage and direct the procurement teams, and give strategic direction on current and future scrap procurement processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead procurement processes for raw materials (P1020, scrap, hardeners and alloys required for the Hydro facilities in Cassopolis (MI), Commerce (TX) and Henderson, KY.
Give strategic direction on metal needs and scrap sourcing plans in cooperation with the Commercial and Operations teams.
Develop sustainable sourcing strategies in alignment with the commercial billet sales forecasts.
Manage and grow aluminum scrap and raw material sourcing throughout the Hydro Aluminum networks.
Lead contract negotiation for long and short term sourcing agreements.
Develop pricing budgets for yearly Hydro business plan.
Collect, analyze and provide scrap market intelligence to support cost efficiencies and savings.
Develop strong relationships with scrap vendors based on market trends and forecasts.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or other relevant discipline is required; advanced degree such as MBA is preferred.
Minimum of 7 years in metals procurement is required. Strong knowledge of metal markets, pricing and hedging principles is required.
Prior experience managing a team of scrap buyers is desirable.
TRAVEL:
Extensive travel is expected for this position, including international travel. This includes travel to suppliers, plants, trade conferences, and aluminum network events. This position also assumes the ability to spend extensive time in our Rosemont, IL office.
