Title: Sr IT Project Manager 
Location: Springfield IL
Duration: 6 months (with possible extension)

Remote policy – 80% Remote – 20% Onsite (must be on site for 1st week)
Preferred candidates from – Springfield, Chicago, and Midwest

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee and lead Payroll implementation, AIX Migration, and ITX Upgrade project. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects within strict deadlines and budget constraints. This role requires a high level of expertise in IT infrastructure, strong leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless transition and upgrade of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Execution:
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
    • Lead the execution of Payroll implementation, AIX Migration, and ITX Upgrade project from initiation to closure, ensuring all project goals and objectives are met.
  2. Stakeholder Management:
    • Engage with stakeholders to define project requirements, establish clear objectives, and manage expectations.
    • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management through regular updates and reports.
  3. Team Leadership and Coordination:
    • Lead cross-functional project teams, including IT, operations, and business units, to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance and support to team members.
  4. Risk Management:
    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
    • Monitor and manage project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  5. Budget and Resource Management:
    • Manage project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within allocated funds.
    • Allocate resources effectively and ensure optimal utilization of team members and tools.
  6. Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct regular project reviews and assessments to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to best practices.
  7. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
    • Prepare and present project progress reports to stakeholders and senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on IT infrastructure projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex IT projects from inception to completion.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana).
