Job Overview:
Belcan is seeking an experienced Project Engineering Lead to join our team in Rockford, IL. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in an industrial shop environment, with management or supervisory experience. This onsite role involves direct reporting to facility management, managing multiple project installations, and addressing production/tooling issues.
Key Responsibilities:
*Investigate, evaluate, and manage issues related to automated/torque tooling project implementation, from concept to completion.
*Conduct product line reviews and create strategies.
*Perform lab testing and product testing of created strategies.
*Prepare periodic reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
*Provide analysis and estimates for new and recurring work.
*Assign tasks and manage a small team of project support individuals.
*Collaborate with customer shop floor operators, mechanical engineers, and management to understand project needs and requirements.
Core Qualifications:
*BS degree in an Engineering or Industrial discipline.
*Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering documentation (prints, specs, manuals, etc.).
*Good knowledge of standard machine shop processes.
*Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as automated machinery and mechanical assemblies.
*Strong communication skills for summarizing findings to customer engineering/site leadership.
*Self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
*Due to the nature of this work, US Citizenship is required.
Desired Skills:
*Familiarity with SAP programs.
*Experience managing or supervising a small team.
*Experience in programing and implementing Atlas Copco PF4000 and PF6000 Smart Torque tooling.
*Knowledge of ISO and AS9100 quality requirements
