SUMMARY:
The Product Manager role is part of the Safety Identification marketing team and will drive market strategy and sales growth in core product categories across the business portfolio. This position is responsible for both product planning and life-cycle management programs in support of sales and marketing initiatives across all channels. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to market research on trends and growth opportunities, pricing evaluation and new product development and product positioning.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive multi-channel market strategy to customer segments and identify growth opportunities. This includes analyzing market trends, researching competitor activity and conducting periodic market evaluations. Develops in-depth and ongoing understanding of product portfolio and positioning of Safety Identification products.
Assist in creation of new product road maps based on solid research and fundamentals for opportunity. Create business cases to support investment in new programs; drive NPI projects to meet schedule milestones and deadlines; collaborate and communicate consistently across functional areas to develop commercialization plans.
Identify and drive product enhancements and support quality improvements and cost reduction opportunities of assigned product lines.
Manage and review current and future pricing strategies including necessary financial documentation.
Build and foster ongoing collaborative relationships across sales, e-Commerce and Marketing teams to develop and review marketing materials in support of business strategy, sales growth and overall value proposition.
Support sales team by participating in key industry events and customer meetings with presentations as appropriate to promote the product, services and overall brand.
Coaches other marketing or sales team members on life cycle projects as appropriate; team player with a positive and flexible attitude.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Engineering preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft office, Excel, PowerPoint
Minimum of 3 years direct experience in Product Management, product support or related functions within a manufacturing or tangible goods business.
Ability to conduct research and analyze data to glean valuable insights and identify opportunities to grow sales
Strategic Thinker, proven ability to execute on strategy and action plan.
Organized, focus on managing and meeting deadlines, ability to multi-task, strong business acumen and professional demeanor
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including occasionally speaking before an audience
Business Intelligence data review is a plus.
Able and willing to travel at 30% or greater.
