Job Description

This role as a Clinical Placement Coordinator will be working on-site at our main Decatur, IL facility with clinical leadership and aims to address workforce shortages and assist clinical leaders in filling crucial vacant positions at Heritage. The Clinical Placement Coordinator will play a key role by promptly screening telephone calls for clinical applicants within one business day of application, conducting structured first interviews, and coordinating second interviews with relevant leaders. Collaborating closely with clinical leaders, the position's goal is to expedite interviewing processes.
Responsibilities Include:
Collaborate closely with clinical leaders to understand the specific needs and requirements of clinical positions. This involves discussing job descriptions, candidate profiles, and strategies to ensure alignment with organizational goals
Review resumes, applications, and other candidate materials to identify individuals who meet the qualifications and requirements for clinical positions.
Manage the clinical hiring process and monitor every stage of application tracking, ensuring review of new applications within one business day, and completion of phone screens/interviews within two business days.
Conduct initial screenings and interviews to assess candidates' skills, experience, and suitability for the role
Schedule and coordinate second interviews between candidates and hiring clinical managers/leaders or interview panels. This involves managing communication between all parties, ensuring that interviews are conducted efficiently
Maintain ongoing communication with clinical candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing updates, answering questions, and addressing concerns. They serve as the primary point of contact for clinical candidates and strive to create positive experiences for all applicants.
Ensure thorough follow-up on team interviews and guide applicants through the pre-hire process, while providing weekly status updates to clinical leaders regarding any pending hires.
Follow up with applicants who were not selected or screened out.
Develops strategies in coordination with clinical leadership to fill vacancies
Assists interested clinical candidates with questions related to the application process, qualifications, current vacancies
Provide other duties as assigned, required, or specifically negotiated with the supervisor
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with candidates and collaborating with internal teams.
Ability to conduct effective interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates' qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
Understanding of healthcare industry dynamics, including regulatory requirements and compliance standards
Teamwork and collaboration abilities to work closely with hiring managers, HR colleagues, and other stakeholders to achieve hiring goals.
Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced recruitment environment
Education and Experience
Master's Degree in psychology, social work, or similar human services field, or Bachelor's Degree in psychology, social work, or similar human services field with at least 3 years of experience in the field is required.
A valid drivers license, reliable means of transportation, and proof of automobile insurance are required.
