Position Details
The Finance team is crucial to running our business. As a Finance leader, you will build partnerships and share insights to increase profitable growth and provide value to our customers. You will lead a diverse and collaborative team and contribute to a culture of respect and inclusion. You will enjoy solving complex business problems to help Grainger's customers keep their operations running and their people safe. Grainger has modern facilities in Chicago's northern suburbs and downtown that complement team members' active lifestyles and flexible work schedules. You will report to the Senior Director, Financial Planning & Analysis.
You Will
Manage a team of Senior Financial Analysts and Analysts in the rotational development program.
Recruit and develop a team with a unified goal of creating value for our customers.
Share insights that lead to solutions to increase growth.
Bring your best ideas and experience to help Grainger beat the competition.
Use digital solutions to improve efficiency and faster insights.
Drive continuous improvement by automating, refining, and implementing processes, tools, and deliverables.
Develop modeling solutions, financial analysis and reporting to support strategic plans.
Guide business partners to ensure sound financial decisions. Identify financial and operational metrics that impact financial and operational results.
Dive deep and demonstrate end to end thinking by understanding the upstream and downstream processes and effects of business decisions.
Create clear and transparent financial analysis on the health of the business; understand end-to-end process, risk, and controls.
Assess risks and opportunities and identify key operational and financial actions to drive improvement.
Provide recommendations and influence business decisions, which include presentations to senior management.
Prepare annual financial plan, quarterly and long-range forecasts.
Interface and story-tell with Senior Management.
You Have
Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, STEM or related field.
5+ years of relevant experience.
Previous management experience is a plus.
A knack for being a "talent magnet," including ability to coach and mentor others.
Financial acumen and financial skills, including quantitative analysis.
Experience collaborating with multiple business functions.
