Position: Lead Machine Operator
Location: F137 Device Huntley, IL
Wage: $29.26 (with Shift Differential of 50 cents: $29.76)
Shift: 2nd Shift 3:00 am - 11:00 pm (Monday through Friday)

What You'll Be Doing:
Sets up thermoforming machines for operation
Mounts dies, molds and loads rolls of raw materials into the machine.
Engages machine to produce parts and maintains continuous
Performs troubleshooting and quality control checks.
Performs routine maintenance on machines.
Works with Packer/Inspectors to resolve any quality issues as needed.
Directs Packers/Inspectors to work in other areas when machine is down for troubleshooting or set up.
Maintains a safe, clean and organized work area.
Performs other work duties or functions as assigned.

As a Lead you will be :
Uses and reads calipers.
Self-starting, willing to learn, does other tasks as required.
Knowledge about basic math and English skills to complete paperwork.
Has good communication skills and is an active team member.
Maintains a 97% attendance record.
Keeps accurate daily box counts.
Runs the specified number of parts on each job.
Maintains a good working relationship with inspectors and operators.
Knows and verifies specification requirements of each part.
Maintains a safe, organized, and clean work area.
Assists in setting up machines as needed.
Sets up tools efficiently with minimum supervision.
Runs the machine in "spec" parts" at the specified speed.
Prepares tools for machine set up.
Solves most problems requiring Platen and/or vacuum adjustments.
Understands the different types of materials by appearance.
Knows when materials meet our minimum workmanship standards.
Knows what the parts should look like when looking at a tool.
Set up repeat tools and new tools efficiently without supervision.
Runs the machine in "spec" parts at the specified speed.
Troubleshoots all forming problems.
Spots tooling deficiencies and recommends corrective action.
Set up repeat tools and new tools efficiently without supervision and create a new recipe for new tools.
Review production schedule daily with a supervisor.
Improve CPM (cycle per minute) and review daily.
Inspect and review all tool components prior to set up.
Able to train new operators.

We'd love to hear from you if:
High school Diploma or equivalent
6 months set up operator experience
1-year previous production line experience preferred
Ability to continuously lift, reach, stand, and walk throughout the day.
Good written and verbal communication skills
Good manual dexterity and agility
Good leadership skills
