Job Description

The Shipper Receiver Lead is responsible for monitoring Central Receiving, Packing and Crating and Reclaim Warehouse ensuring compliance with Goodwill and Warehouse Standard Operating Procedures. This position maintains records of all goods shipped and received and receives incoming general material from commercial or government freight trucks, as well as UPS, DHL OR FEDEX delivery vehicles.

RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:

Responsible for monitoring Central Receiving, Packing and Crating and Reclaim Warehouse ensuring compliance with Goodwill and Warehouse Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring the mission is met or exceeded. To perform various responsibilities which include but are not limited to maintaining records of all goods shipped and received, receive incoming general material from commercial or government freight trucks, as well as UPS, DHL OR FEDEX delivery vehicles; load and unload inbound and outbound material. Packaging or crating materials for shipment to various organizations.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

1. Receive and validate incoming shipments against Government Bill of Lading/Commercial Bill of Lading and receiving documents. Inspect, sign and stage material for distribution or material destined for further shipment. 40%
2. Build crates and provide further packaging for all outbound shipments and assure correct packaging/shipping documents are attached, utilizing a variety of power and hand tools. 40%
3. Address and label packages, record the weight and dimensions of each shipment and prepare shipping invoices. 10%
4. Provide verbal and written direction to employees and customers in person, via telephone and using computer based programs. 10%

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Warehouse Operations background
2. Possess computer proficiency to include experience with basic Microsoft Office programs.
3. Operate various pieces of office and warehouse equipment in the performance of job duties.
4. Valid driver license.
5. Ability to obtain forklift certification.
6. Hold at least an Interim Secret Clearance.

PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS:

1. Able to sit and stand for long periods of time.
2. Ability to move throughout all facilities under this contract's responsibilities.
3. Ability to see/read/input data effectively.
4. Vision is required to obtain forklift license as well as to visually inspect materials for conformance.
5. Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt and dust.
6. Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work: heavy lifting, pushing or pulling of objects weighing over 50 pounds.
