Email a Friend Save Save Apply Now Position Summary: The regional security supervisor would work under the direction of the security director to assist with the supervision of off-site security officers and security operations at off site facilities. The regional security supervisor would be the first point of contact for off-site managers and directors to discuss security safeguards, training and operations. The supervisor would assist with employee training. The supervisor will make frequent checks on the security officers which would include nights, evenings and weekends. Responsible for developing and implementing performance improvement projects for officers. Qualifications: EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Associate’s Degree in related field or an additional two (2) years of relevant experience. CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS Driver’s License. Must obtain the following certifications within three (3) months of start date in position – Pepper spray, Taser, and non-violent crisis intervention, and retain these certification throughout employment. Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) card required within 6 months of hire. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS One (1) year of supervisory experience in law enforcement or security required. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Leadership skills. Familiar with loss prevention and modern security concepts. Must have good oral and written communication skills. Essential Functions:

+ May assume duties of security officer and fill in for open shifts.

+ Effectively patrol assigned areas by reporting problems for investigation or correction. Being observant for safety and security hazards.

+ Document incidents and activities according to department policy. (Report Writing)

+ Respond to requests for routine and emergency calls for service in a timely manner.

+ Effectively utilize non-violent crisis intervention practices when situations arise.

+ Ensure security officers are adequately trained and are competent to perform all required job tasks.

+ Assist with scheduling of security staff.

+ Make rounds at off-site facilities to monitor security staff and security operations.

+ Investigate incidents.
