Job Description

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry located in Burr Ridge, Illinois. As a key part of our team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and regularity of financial records within an Oracle ERP environment. Your role will also include conducting periodic financial audits and preparing comprehensive reports, coordinating with various departments, and assisting in budgeting and forecasting activities.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct periodic financial analyses and audits to ensure regulatory compliance

- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and statements for management review

- Coordinate with various department heads and finance staff members to ensure precise bookkeeping

- Maintain a consistent record of all relevant financial data

- Reconcile discrepancies or inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports

- Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes

- Support management in budgeting and forecasting activities

- Implement approved improvements to current accounting systems and procedures

- Record journal entries for month-end close

- Assist in the preparation of budgets or forecasts

- Financial Statements Consolidation Requirements – Must have a strong understanding and experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation.

- Experience in Bank Reconciliations is essential.

- Proficiency in handling General Ledger activities.

- Proficient in Journal Entries preparation and management.

- Expertise in Microsoft Excel is required.

- Must be competent in performing Month End Close tasks.

- Experience with Oracle software is necessary.

- Must be able to prepare and manage Financial Statements.

- Experienced in Financial Statements Consolidation.
