Field Service Engineer – DCS


As a Field Service Engineer – DCS here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to provide technical support and services for Distributed Control Systems (DCS) to our customers. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining DCS equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Your expertise and dedication to customer service will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our field service operations.

You will report directly to our Field Service Manager and you’ll work out of our designated location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency and reliability of our customers’ operations by providing timely and effective technical support for DCS systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues, and you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our service delivery processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Distributed Control Systems (DCS)

- Perform repairs and maintenance on DCS equipment to ensure optimal performance

- Provide technical support and guidance to customers, both remotely and on-site

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions for customer needs

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery processes

YOU MUST HAVE

-High School Diploma

-Minimum of 1 years of experience in field service engineering or related roles or Military experience in electronics programs may be considered equivalent to this typical qualification.

-1 year of experience using Basic Windows OS and Microsoft Office applications

-Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

-Valid driver’s license

-Commitment of 18 months to obtain and maintain L3 CEAT certification while performing normal job duties.

-Be available for off hour “Emergency On-Call” as needed

WE VALUE

-Advanced degree such as a Bachelors or Master’s degree in Science, Technology, Math or Engineering

-1yrs experience of Strong technical knowledge and expertise in Distributed Control Systems (DCS) or Experience with Honeywell DCS systems

-Ability to work safely within the Honeywell/Customer HSE requirements.

-Commitment to obtain and maintain L3 CEAT certification within 18 months of hire (Training is given to achieve this)

-Experience with industrial process control field instrumentation

-Networking experience

-Previous experience working in a Field Service Technician position

-Previous technical/installation experience

-Previous customer service experience

-Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills; capable of learning available analysis tools to solve complex system or process problems
