Join Our Elite Team: Sales Luxury Portfolio Consultant

Gallo is seeking a passionate and driven Sales Luxury Portfolio Consultant to join our elite sales team. This exceptional role is designed for someone who thrives in the fine dining and mixology scene, as well as the premium retail sector, both brick and mortar and online. Your mission will be to drive the distribution and maximize the sales of Gallo’s luxury spirits brands within an assigned geographic area, focusing on On-Premise accounts and Premium Retail channels.

As the forefront representative of our luxury portfolio, you will aggressively pursue sales objectives, expand points of distribution, and foster brand advocacy across both channels. Regular sales calls to On-Premise and retail accounts will be your arena to build and maintain primary relationships, providing staff training to enhance brand awareness and executing memorable activations that resonate with customers.

Dedicated to promoting our brands, you’ll spend 80% of your time engaging with On-Premise venues and 20% with retail, acting as a valuable partner and consultant to each account. Your ability to develop strategic digital business plans will amplify brand presence, while staying abreast of global and local market trends will maintain your intellectual relevance.

Your role also involves organizing exceptional evangelist initiatives, managing our Standards of Performance, and promoting positive relationships across the winery sales organization. A focus on innovation and an entrepreneurial mindset will drive your success, as you gather and share market intelligence to enhance sub-channel management.

As a Gallo Ambassador, you’ll advocate for our brands, leveraging social media and other tools to promote Gallo sales within the community, all while managing your budget responsibly and ensuring compliance with quality, environmental, and safety regulations.

What You Will Need:

+ MBA degree with a concentration in Wine & Spirits plus 4 years of Sales, Hospitality, Culinary Supplier/Wholesaler, or bar management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years of Gallo winery sales or Gallo affiliated or non-affiliated distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s Degree plus 6 years of Alcohol Beverage Sales, Luxury Sales or Hospitality, Culinary, Supplier/Wholesaler, or bar management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 9 years of Alcohol Beverage Sales, Luxury Sales, or Hospitality, Culinary, Supplier/Wholesaler, or bar management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

+ Required to be 21 years of age or older.

+ Candidates for this position must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver’s license or appropriate state driver’s license within 30 days of hire.

+ Required to obtain Liquor License as required by state/locality.

+ Required to travel by air and automobile up to 10% with overnight hotel stays based on business needs.

+ Experience with Event or Hospitality Management.

+ Sommelier, WSET level 3, CSS, CSW, CSE, CEFS, CSSC or equivalent certification or willing to obtain within 6 months of employment.

+ Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

+ Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

Compensation:

+ Hiring Salary Range Posted: $86,700.00 – $130,100 .00 / year

+ Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
