Job Summary:

As a Development Analyst, you are responsible for providing analytical sample processing and data review to support SOS SM Services initiatives. You will use a variety of analytical techniques and wet chemistry to process oil, fuel, and source water and/or coolant samples submitted by customers. Engineers and dealers use results to manage equipment preventive maintenance schedules.

+ This position is a 2nd shift position with working hours of 3:00pm – 11:30pm CST.

+ This position is located in Peoria, IL.

+ This position does not offer relocation.

What You Will Do:

+ ISO 9001 Quality System

+ Services Manager Training

+ Safety Training

+ Sample Registration, Prep and Handling (receipt to disposal)

+ Material Inspection and Supply Receipt

+ Daily Customer Interactions via telephone or e-mail

+ Collect and evaluate Data and LIMS transfer

+ Waste Disposal and EHS compliance

+ Oil Testing (Particle Count Analysis, Viscosity Analysis, Sample Dilution, FTIR Analysis, Gas Chromatography, ICP Analysis, Visual Inspection, Titrations)

+ Coolant Testing

+ Ownership of Designated Processes

+ Completion Billing form and Received Dates

+ Instrument Troubleshooting

+ Preparation of Reagents and standards

+ Identifying problem areas

What You Have:

+ Four-year degree in Chemistry or related field (Biology, Bio-Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, etc.) or equivalent work experience

+ Experience working in Microsoft Office and the ability to complete basic computer tasks

Top Candidates will also have:

+ Previous experience working in a lab environment

+ Experience with basic laboratory skills such as lab safety (PPE, handling hazardous materials, etc.)

+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, specifically experience and willingness to operate in a team environment and communicate well with others
