Summary About the Position: The U.S. Military Entrance Processing Command, headquartered in North Chicago, IL, is a jointly staffed command, staffed by representatives of all branches of the Armed Forces. The command, through its 66 military processing locations (Military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS)/Remote Processing Stations (RPS), determines whether applicants are qualified for enlistment based on standards set by each of the services. This will be filled as a TERM position. Responsibilities As an Information Technology Specialist (Systems Analysis), you will: Develop short-and-long-range plans for Information Technology Management Directorate. Troubleshoot ADP problems and implementing ADP solutions. Plan and coordinate studies to determine practically/feasibility of requested cloud systems. Evaluate and recommend new and emerging technologies, especially automation and cloud technologies. Analyze Engineering Change Proposals and interpret into technical requirements, including User Stories and Acceptance Criteria. Interpret and apply knowledge of systems analysis and design to develop system specifications and designs. * These duties are described at the full performance level GS-11. The position is being filled at the GS-09 or GS-11 level. If selected at the GS-09 level the position will be developmental and eligible for non-competitive promotion to GS-11. This position is NOT eligible for remote work (remote duty location). If telework is approved, selectees will be required to report to their official duty location as outlined in their telework agreement. * TERM APPOINTMENT INFORMATION: This position is TERM not to exceed 366 days with provisions to extend up to a maximum of eight years.
