Job Description
A Day in the Life:
The Director Technical Lead for Field and Fleet Technology is responsible for maintaining strong customer relationships and improving our technology and services for the field operations team. The Lead will perform technical tasks, such as developing operational tools, maintaining application SLAs, troubleshooting technical issues, and will perform administrative tasks, such as managing team performance. In addition, the lead will be accountable fixing reliability issues, tracking service metrics, and leading a team that will comprise of full-time employees and managed services provider working as staff augmentation resources. To be a successful lead, you will demonstrate strong leadership and teamworking skills. You will also demonstrate excellent communication and technical skills. He/she will guide and mentor developers and always communicate closely with the rest of the technology development teams, including keeping stakeholders informed of technical progress and risks.
What You’ll Do:
+ Maintaining positive relationships with internal partners that includes field operations, fleet product, data engineering, information security and ITSM teams.
+ Identifying customer needs, overseeing and directly developing applications, primarily on the Hertz-Foundry platform, within the business context.
+ Leading the Field and Fleet Technology application team, managing conflict, and ensuring the team’s processes and tasks are carried out efficiently.
+ Organizes and runs team using Agile methods.
+ Determining ways to reduce costs without sacrificing customer satisfaction.
+ Assessing customer feedback and using your creativity to establish, improve, and refine services.
+ Remaining organized and meeting deadlines.
+ Building partnerships and liaising with team leaders to determine the company’s services, delivery criteria, and solutions for issues that may arise.
What We’re Looking For:
+ A four-year degree or more in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems or a related field
+ 10+ years systems experience
+ Demonstrated team building and project management skills.
+ Experience in Agile development methodologies
+ Detail-oriented, organized, and possess good writing and communication skills
+ Ability to operate effectively, and with a sense of possibility, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
+ Technical experience in the following areas:
+ Data engineering and modeling
+ Data Visualization
+ AI+ML integration
+ Python
+ SPARK
+ SQL
The starting pay for this role is expected to be around $145k with bonus. Actual salary will be commensurate with relevant work experience.
