Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

Job Description

As a Diesel Mechanic, you will handle all repairs and required preventative maintenance of trailers, cranes, processors, and trucks. Responsibilities include diagnosing and troubleshooting repairs, understanding DOT information on trailers and AVI, and performing safety inspections of equipment. You will also prepare safety documents as required by FMCSA, company, and other regulations. Tasks include major and minor parts changing, suspension and wheel end maintenance, welding and cutting operations, and identifying equipment issues that could lead to safety concerns or equipment failure. Routine inspections of work areas to ensure proper maintenance and use of tools like Volt Meters, along with interpreting electric and hydraulic schematics, are also part of your duties.
