The Ford Purchasing team adds critical value to the entire organization. You’ll help us source the highest quality parts and services from around the globe while ensuring optimal cost and on-time delivery. You’ll also contribute to establishing a robust supply chain so that we can continually produce the vehicles our customers want.

The Supply Operations Team (SOT) primary mission is ensuring “zero” lost units to Ford’s production plan due to operationally distressed suppliers. The purpose of this position is to support SOT with data analytics to enable predictive modeling for proactive risk mitigation, prioritization of supplier cases based on production plan risk, and development of electronic dashboards, SharePoint, and other tools to improve overall efficiency of case management and KPI Tracking. Position is a critical enabler to deliver SOT’s business objectives. Position communicates to all levels of the organization, within the function as well as other functions and suppliers. Position communicates weekly with Ford Senior Leadership.

In this position…

+ Query a variety of Ford Systems including CMMS, eCAR, SIMS, GCP, Empress, etc. to develop data sets critical to the mission of SOT, including predictive modeling for proactive risk mitigation, and data that supports supplier risk rankings.

+ Compare data sets from other functional areas (MP&L, STA, Supply Risk Management, etc.) to SOT data to further develop supplier risk profiles. Work with cross functional partners to align overall strategy and next steps with high risk suppliers.

+ Development of electronic dashboards, SharePoint, and other tools to improve overall efficiency of supplier case management and KPI Tracking.

What you’ll do…

+ Develop weekly data sets to prioritize supplier sites that require an on-site assessment to evaluate overall risk to Ford’s production plan.

+ Develop tools to reduce workload associated with daily manual tracking and reporting of supplier operational metrics.

+ Publishing monthly metrics to Ford Senior Leadership.

+ Develop and deliver executive level presentations. Summarize complex issues with resolutions and effectively communicate to leadership.

+ Ability to problem tackle complete issues and implement new and innovative strategies.

You’ll have…

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related technical degree and experience.

+ 8+ years working experience in data analytics, or related field and experience.

+ Proficient computer skills -MS Suite/Excel required.

+ Expert level skills at organizing data into an effective Senior level presentation.

+ Strong leadership and communication skills are necessary to be successful in this position.

+ Ability to be flexible and at times work extended and non-core hours.

+ Self-motivated/independent/resourceful. Anticipates business needs and is comfortable dealing with ambiguity.

+ Ability to speak and write in the English language fluently to effectively communicate with global teams.

Even better, you may have…

+ Systems Experience including SQL, Minitabs, Alteryx, VBA, Tableau, Qlik, SAP, MS SharePoint/Power Suite, PEGA.

+ Ford systems experience including CMMS, eCAR, SIMS, GCP, Empress.

+ Coding Experience including C++, R, Python, HTML.

+ Experience in Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, Risk Mapping, Predictive Analytics, Value Stream Mapping, Green/Black Belt Ideal, Artificial Intelligence Integration Ideal.
