Amazon Fresh is looking for a self-directed and results-oriented Program Manager with past project management experience, cross-functional coordination skills and strong business acumen.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable deep diving and synthesizing large set of data in order to make data driven and prudent business decisions. The candidate will partner with Operations, Finance, Ops Integration and other support teams to build and support the labor demand model for Amazon Fresh Grocery Stores. This is a highly visible role with extensive cross functional interaction. We are seeking an exceptional candidate with a proven track record in delivering results by insisting on the highest standards in an ambiguous and high-paced environment.

Key job responsibilities

- Develop, update, analyze, and document all corporate labor standards

- Perform time studies, work sampling, and have ability to build standards using MOST

- Constantly review process workflows and ensure processes are accounted for in labor planning application

- Oversee and support labor implications as a result of process or business changes

- Become subject matter expert of the Amazon fresh stores labor planning model products by deep diving and problem solving on a regular basis. Be comfortable to first educate and then insist on the highest standards to deliver sustainable results.

- Define metrics to measure labor planning/scheduling performance and drive continuous improvement by identifying ways streamline process and reduce non-value-added work.

- Regularly review existing labor planning metrics and drive initiatives to improve on the opportunities.

- Drive medium to large scale initiatives with different level of leaders without having any direct authority on them.

- Partner with the BIE team to maintain and update the labor demand model as well as build demand related reporting

Basic Qualifications

- 1+ years of program or project management experience

- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

- Preferably 1+ years of experience in labor planning, capacity planning experiences in a fast-paced environment

- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

- Demonstrable problem-solving, quantitative and analytical skills using SQL, and advanced excel to drive decisions in a business environment.

- 50% – 60% travel to stores

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Excel

- Experience with SQL

- Bachelor’s degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field

- Experience with time study methods

- Superior professional writing and communication skills

- Preferable experience of physical retail, with experience of grocery/food retail labor planning would be a particular advantage.

- Lean and/or Six Sigma certification

- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $50,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
