The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), which is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. We work backwards from our customer’s most complex and business critical problems to build and execute go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. WWSO teams include business development, specialist and technical solutions architecture. As part of WWSO, you’ll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses. Key job responsibilities

As a WW Principal Specialist, you will own the growing adoption, utilization, and revenue for an AWS service. You will gather customer and industry needs and partner with AWS product teams to innovate, develop, and deliver AWS offerings. WW Specialists are technically savvy resources responsible for identifying opportunities to innovate with customers, influencing the AWS product roadmap, and driving revenue for specific AWS service(s). As a WW Principal Specialist, you will own, develop, and implement technical GTM plans and sales plays for new or existing services, and drive customer and partner engagements by participating in AWS field enablement activities. You will also identify gaps in AWS products or feature sets based on customer insights and partner with internal product teams to win strategic customer workloads and drive business revenue.

About the team

Generative AI (GenAI) transforms how business applications and workflows are written and delivered. The WWSO Generative AI – Amazon Q team helps customers accelerate software development and boost employee productivity. It helps customers modernize and migrate applications (Ex. business applications, websites) faster and more efficiently and accelerate innovation with AWS by leveraging GenAI-based tools such as Amazon Q (Developer, Business, Quicksight). Basic Qualifications

- +10 years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience

- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

- +10 years of technical design / implementation / consulting experience.

- +3 years experience with GenAI/LLM in a business development/partner capacity.

- Experience developing and executing on strategic GTM strategies with GenAI model providers.

- Deep hands-on understanding of deep learning and other ML algorithms.

Preferred Qualifications

- Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.

- Strong written communication skills

- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills

- Computer Science /relevant degree and/or experience highly desired

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $158,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
