General Summary:

This role will be responsible for ensuring that the assigned region is effectively and consistently meeting recruiting demands in growing the Colonial Life footprint and meeting production goals. Manage a team of Recruiting Consultants, who will work with territory and district sales leaders to meet recruiting needs through sourcing, attracting and selection of all 1099 contract sales roles and training managers on recruiting activity and strategy. Partner with the Vice President of Sales, Regional Planning Manager, Sourcing Manager and Territory Sales Managers to plan and execute recruiting strategies.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

+ Manage team of Recruiting Consultants to meet defined recruiting and production metrics in assigned territories.

+ Onboard, train and develop new Recruiting Consultants to ensure consistent and effective execution.

+ Ensure support is provided to struggling or challenging markets through recruiting activities including sourcing, attracting and interviewing candidates.

+ Manage team capacity to ensure markets with vacant Recruiting Consultant positions receive support with hands on recruiting, including planning, sourcing, attracting and interviewing candidates.

+ Ensure territory managers and district managers are trained on developing recruiting strategy, managing recruiting processes and utilizing available resources and tools.

+ Execute recruiting programs at the national, regional and local level

+ Partner with regional leadership and support teams to develop and drive recruiting strategies and achieve recruiting goals.

+ Track and report recruiting activity and results at the regional and local level.

+ Support pipeline management processes throughout the region, partnering with sourcing team, program manager and contracting team

+ Work with Recruiting Consultants, Territory Sales Managers and district managers on advanced recruiting strategies to enhance pipeline quality

+ Work with IT partners and external vendors to inform and develop best recruiting tools and practices within enterprise system

+ May perform other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications

+ Management experience preferred

+ Recruiting and/or sales experience required

+ Work experience in other Home Office functions

+ Excellent presentation and written/verbal communication skills

+ Working knowledge and comfort with the use of computer websites, tracking spreadsheets, Applicant Tracking Systems and online contracting software

+ Experience in insurance industry and with sourcing 1099/contractors preferred

+ Belief in the 1099 opportunity and ability to attract leadership candidates from inside and outside of the insurance industry

+ Strong ability to influence others

+ Self-starter needing little direction with exceptional time management skills

+ Effective and results-oriented training and coaching experience with hiring managers or 1099 partners both in the classroom and in the field with candidates.

+ Self-motivated

+ Highly energetic

+ Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills

+ Travel requirements up to 75%
