Inventory Specialist – 1st Shift

Seeking a motivated Inventory Specialist to join our team. Responsible for ordering, receiving, and maintaining parts and supplies in a fast-paced production environment.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU:

+ 1st Shift: 7am to 4pm, Monday – Friday, Saturdays as needed.

+ Starting hourly pay of $25 – 28. Final compensation may vary based on factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or geographic location.

+ Yearly reviews and raises.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH:

+ Analyzes material requirements reports and expedites open purchase orders to ensure that all production needs will be met while maintaining optimal inventory levels for raw materials and packaging.

+ Enters transfer orders for materials needed from offsite storage locations based on daily material requirements reports.

+ Updates and maintains accurate item master information for assigned items such as supplier, lead times, order quantity, pallet information, storage information, etc.

+ Reviews excess and obsolete inventory for assigned items at least monthly and recommends action to gain disposition.

+ Manages material flow by reviewing plant inventory levels vs. production requirements and creating outbound transfer orders when needed.

+ Analyzes reports used in weekly expired inventory meetings with all related departments to acquire dispositions for expired or soon-to-be expired items.

REQUIREMENTS:

+ Ability to work overtime, irregular hours, or rotating shifts, required.

+ High school diploma, GED, or trade school equivalent, required.

+ Two (2) years of related experience and/or training, required.

+ Ability to use SAP, preferred.

+ Ability to identify mechanical component ex: bearings, gears, belts, etc.

SKILLS:

+ Previous experience in a purchasing environment required.

+ Ability to pay attention to detail.

+ Ability to drive Stand up Forklift.

+ Ability to use Microsoft programs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Office.

+ Sound technical skills, logical ability, and strong problem analysis and resolutions skills.

+ Ability to write standard information into related paperwork and present to management.

+ Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

+ Ability to speak, write, and understand English. Ability to speak Spanish is helpful.
