Position Summary:

The Space Manager develops and delivers best-in-class assortment and space recommendations utilizing industry standards that provide win-win-win (shopper-retailer-supplier) solutions for the company.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

+ Influence and guide retailers’ beverage strategies

+ Build strong and effective relationships with key internal and external customers

+ Identify key business opportunities through collaborative business planning

+ Identify relevant insights, leveraging industry knowledge to advance the Non-Alcoholic Ready-To-Drink Beverage category strategy and solutions

+ Leverage an understanding of how retailer category and strategy can be best implemented in selecting new items into an assortment

+ Develop optimized assortment recommendations by utilizing advanced assortment theories and practices

+ Understand volumetric impact of assortment additions and deletions

+ Understand retailer space strategy can be fully leveraged to manage and optimize the shelf space for the categories where the company has representation

+ Understand the principles of space management to develop best-in -class optimized shelf schematic planograms for retailers

+ Use data and insights to identify gaps and opportunities in space utilization and build schematics to optimize the allocation of shelf/floor space

+ Design, develop and deliver presentations that substantiate rationale for recommendations of space and assortment changes to influence internal and external customer’s decisions

+ Other projects or duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

+ Bachelor’s degree in business related discipline and 6 plus years of consumer package goods industry experience or High School Diploma/GED and 9 plus years of consumer package good industry experience

+ Channel, Shopper, and Trade experience

+ Category, Portfolio, and Brand experience

+ Strong Space and/or Assortment Management Discipline knowledge

+ Ability to integrate insights from data into assortment and shelving recommendations

+ Retailer Space and/or Assortment Project experience

+ Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills

+ Strong presentation skills

+ Strong project management skills i.e., detailing deliverables, responsibilities, timing, and key milestones

+ Creative problem-solving skills

+ Ability to develop collaborative solutions with retailers and internal customers

+ Up to 20% travel

+ This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test

Preferred Skills and Experience:

+ 10 plus years of consumer package good industry experience

+ Master’s degree

+ Ability to link category leadership strategies to customer strategies

+ Ability to drive organizational performance, efficiency, and effectiveness by translating analytics into actions and results

+ Experience delivering sustainable results

+ Channel, Shopper, and Trade Mastery experience

+ Category, Portfolio, and Brand Mastery experience

+ Experience as Space/Assortment Management Discipline subject matter expert

+ Analytics experience

+ Ability to draw and communicate insights and actions from data into assortment and shelving recommendations

+ Highly technical skills and aptitude with computer software i.e., Microsoft Office, JDA, Apollo, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.

+ Planning experience i.e., strategic thinking, forward looking, time cognizant, end-to-end retail project management
