Position Summary: The Planning and Performance Manager drives Revenue, Gross Profit and Operating Income (OI) growth, through collaboration with the Revenue Growth Management and Sales Leadership teams as well as the Leadership team and identifies opportunities for Revenue and Margin. Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

+ Lead annual planning process for Revenue, Margin and Volume including presenting and aligning on sources of growth, price package plans, and executional elements, i.e., contingency plans, etc.

+ Identify opportunities to grow Revenue and Margin by utilizing segmentation data and other data sources, i.e., Nielsen, etc.

+ Identity and communicate key opportunities and solutions to the Revenue Growth Management and Sales Leadership teams to gain support and drive improved results

+ Analyze Sparkling Soft Drink (SSD)and Still brand promotional effectiveness

+ Rationalize promotions’ ROI and improve promotional ROI

+ Lead and participate in weekly performance routines, monthly performance reviews and monthly “Deep Dive” sessions to affect results and drive alignment with company strategy

+ Provide input and collaborate with the Forecast team on channel forecast by brand, by package, by week and by month

+ Provide forward-looking performance analysis, i.e., hurdle identification, plan gaps, etc.

+ Develop Price Strategy and Promotional Calendar

+ Provide Subject Matter Expert perspective for customer facing business calls and deliver strategic perspective for Regional and Local key accounts (inside geography)

+ Participate in Customer Program Approval and Communication Tool discussions and provide decision support, market implications and ensure coherency

+ Develop reporting to support high level initiatives to ensure execution and results

+ Support Sales and Commercialization teams with ad-hoc analysis

+ Communicate business results, price strategy initiatives, competitive insights and collective best practices during Leadership meetings and key customer facing events

+ Review Market Unit and Region Key Account pricing requests, Investment Request Forms and Economic Analysis Models

+ Communicate the retail price package promotional plans during the Annual Planning process

+ Identify non-profitable business and recommend plans to improve margin

+ Drive organizational performance, efficiency and effectiveness by translating analytics into actions and sustainable results

+ Other projects or duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

+ Bachelor’s degree and 6 plus years of experience in the consumer goods and/or beverages industry or HS Diploma/GED and 9 plus years of experience in the consumer goods and/or beverages industry

+ Experience building and monitoring annual business plans inclusive of strategic thinking, i.e., forward-looking vision and anticipating of future needs, etc.

+ Strong analytic mindset with the ability to draw insights and actions from data

+ Technical system expertise with key data systems , syndicated marketplace information and data, i.e., Nielsen, Dunnhumby, etc. and forecasting systems

+ Experience delivering sustainable results

+ Strong change management skills

+ Strong written, verbal and presentation skills with all levels of an organization

+ Strong interpersonal and influencing skills

+ Ability to comprehend systems and their functionality

+ Experience with Business Intelligence tools

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, word, etc.

+ Travel up to 20%

+ This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test

Preferred Skills and Experience:

+ MBA or other graduate degree

+ CPA

+ Revenue Growth Management. Customer and/or Sales management experience

+ Planning experience at a Regional or Business Unit level

+ Technical system expertise with key data systems i.e., internal financial and sales reporting; internal performance management and execution metrics, i.e., RED – Right Execution Daily, etc.

+ Experience influencing Independent Bottler decisions
