IMEG is growing, and we'd love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking a Civil Project Engineer in our Macomb, IL. As a Civil Project Engineer 2 you will be responsible for assisting Project Managers with detailed engineering analysis in the preparation of engineering reports, permit applications and construction plan preparation. They direct and train Civil Design Technicians and/or Civil Designers.

Some key duties and responsibilities include:
Draft procedures and system requirements of clients
Various design software
Coordination of municipal, transportation, traffic, and other disciplines
Complete permit applications for a variety of municipalities
Flexible pavement design and rigid pavement design
Geometric pavement and site circulation design
Preparation of specifications & cost estimates
Traffic warrants and guardrail warrants
Regularly has work assignments checked by peer or supervisor
Direct and train Civil Designers to assist them in completing reports, exhibits, plans and specifications and permit applications as required by the projects contractual scope
Additional functions include those listed in Civil Designers' responsibility
Other duties as assigned

Key skills and abilities needed for the position are:
Mastery knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans and drawings
Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office programs and AutoCAD Civil 3D software
Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
An understanding of materials and methods
Ability to interpret state and local design criteria and apply it to the specific project needs
Ability to consistently produce high quality construction documents

Education and experience requirements are:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer license is preferred
A minimum of 6 years of qualifying experience
