Job Description

BGIS is currently seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join the team in Southeast, US.

The Strategic Sourcing Manager is accountable for the development and delivery of strategic sourcing plans for assigned categories. The position responsibilities include category planning and delivery and strategy development, leading opportunities assessments, competitive bids, supplier performance measurement and management, supplier contract development and implementation. The role also identifies and implements leverage opportunities across all accounts and achieves great efficiencies and cost savings. The Strategic Sourcing Manager leads others positively exemplifying BGIS values.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Category Management Planning & Delivery
  • Engages stakeholders to understand business requirements.
  • Develops, recommends, and implements category plans.
Sourcing Strategy
  • Develops and implements sourcing strategies that maximize value and mitigate risks to BGIS and its clients.
  • Leads the review and measurement of the effectiveness of the strategy.
Opportunities Assessment & Implementation
  • Leads and performs opportunities assessment activities and drives leverage across all client accounts.
  • Achieves improvements in operational efficiencies and cost savings as a result.
Competitive Bids
  • Manages end-to-end competitive bid process for assigned categories.
  • Negotiates with suppliers to secure optimum cost and maximum value.
Supplier Performance Measurement & Management
  • Leads the identification and implementation of performance metrics to measure supplier performance.
  • Leads supplier performance measurement and management.
  • Accountable for supplier performance for assigned categories and reports on supplier sustainability.
Supplier Relationship Management
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with suppliers.
Supplier Contractual Agreements
  • Leads the negotiation, development, implementation, amendments and monitoring of supplier contractual agreements.
Strategic Sourcing Best Practices & Industry Trends
  • Maintains in-depth and current category knowledge as well as knowledge of strategic sourcing best practices and industry trends.
  • Provides category and strategic sourcing subject matter expertise.
Vendor Qualification & Set-up Process
  • Reviews and approves vendor set up and vendor information changes.
Support
  • Develops maintains standard templates for strategic sourcing documentations including but not limited to contract agreements, scopes of work, service level agreements, and letters of agreements.
Special Projects
  • Special projects as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, and ABILITIES:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent field of study or equivalent work experience required.
  • Five (5) years of experience in procurement or supply chain management or related field required.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook and Visio required; working knowledge of SharePoint required. Ability to quickly learn proprietary databases.
  • Advanced ability to build and manage relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Highly advanced influence, persuasion and negotiation skills.
  • High degree of business ethics and accountability.
  • High degree of client service orientation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Working knowledge of typical mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems associated to Critical Environments preferred.
Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation
  • Supply Chain Management Professional Designation preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%.
  • Physical ability to walk job sites in uneven terrain.
  • Provide personal transportation for meetings and job visits away from the office; reimbursed.
