Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary 
 The full-time faculty member in the School of Education at St. Augustine will provide instruction in the academic area of early childhood education primarily by demonstrating and fostering excellence in teaching, professional research, and service activities at a variety of levels within the academic discipline, program, School of Education, institution, and community.
Responsibilities 
 Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration, and active support of the University's Mission in Catholic and Lasallian higher education.

-Develop and submit updated course syllabi using the approved template
-Ensure that the content of the course matches the expected course competencies with the objectives being measurable
-Review student Course-Instructor Evaluations after every semester
-Plan and teach assigned courses (32 credits annually)
-Ensure in-class and out-of-class assignments are documented in the course syllabus as required for federal compliance
-Support retention activities including documented communication with both student and administration regarding attendance and progress (including timely submission of attendance and Student Performance Notice Forms)
-Assist in program and course reviews to ensure that students are achieving the expected learning outcome
-Submit midterm an final grades on time
-Other responsibilities as assigned by the Dean of Academic Affairs
Minimum Qualifications 
 -Doctoral or master's degree (terminal degree preferred) from an accredited institution in Early Childhood Education.
-Oral and written bilingual skills (English, Spanish) preferred
-Understanding of accreditation processes and experience in developing curriculum and assessments
-Minimum of two-year work experience in the appropriate field
-Experience in teaching online and/or using course learning management systems (LMS)
-Experience working with a diverse student population
-Willingness to work a flexible schedule
-Record of teaching, demonstrated research/scholarship, and service in any of the programs of the academic school and/or related academic disciplines
Preferred Qualifications 
 Terminal degree
