Title: Production Engineer - Pads
The Production Engineer will own sustaining and quality assurance activities for commercial products and lead continuous improvement projects to drive process efficiency and reduce product variation. The Engineer will work closely with various business functions to support manufacturing processes and resolve customer product quality inquiries. The position is within our Material Solution (MS) division, specifically for CMP Polishing Pads Business Unit (BU). In this role, the Production Engineer will work in a dynamic, cross-functional, and fast-paced team environment to support all aspects related to Ultrasonic (US) Welding, Web/Sheet Lamination, Buffing, and CNC Machining processes with support as required throughout the manufacturing plant. In addition, this role involves the continuous improvement (CI) of operating procedures, installation/modification of new equipment, and scaling up new products (NPI).
The key responsibilities of the Production Engineer are:
Sustain productivity and quality levels of the manufacturing process. Activities include dispositioning of non-conforming materials (raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods), establish/review/update SPC/SQC control limits, maintaining FMEAs and Control Plans, and participating in customer quality and ISO audits.
Reduce variation in product and process parameters by identifying key contributors to variation and implementing effective control systems and enhanced manufacturing processes.
Collaborate closely with various functions of the Pads Operations, Business, R&D, and Quality teams to ensure the business plan is executed fully and on-target.
