Job Description

Infosys is seeking a POS Techno Functional Lead. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty; be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued.

Required Qualifications:
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Chicago, IL or Louisville, KY or willing to relocate.
This position may require travel in the US.
Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent will consider work experience in lieu of a degree.
Min 4+ years of experience in working with POS applications from products such as NCR, GK, Fujitsu, Aptos etc.
Experience in integrating payment systems to Point of Sale systems and other upstream and downstream systems
Should have working experience in integrating and rolling out POS solutions
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required; we are not able to sponsor at this time.

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledgeable on new trends in the Point of Sale and in Retail domain.
Experience with collecting client requirements and translate these to project requirements.
Experience in leading proof of concept endeavors to implement new technological changes for the retail business domain.
QA Validation Services experience for Functional, Regression testing cycles will be desirable
Development experience in either .Net or Java would be nice to have.
Automation expertise to handle monitoring and installation process.
Handling Release Management activities to make sure the labs are up to date with respect to software and hardware changes pertaining mostly to POS applications
Impact Assessments: - Reviewing key events at client (such as a large program rollout, periodic releases, change of software products, broad/specific strategy shifts) for impact to the lab set up and suggest needed changes to the same proactively and making sure the lab system is set up for the program to be successful.
Participate in creating and utilizing KM artifacts, tools and accelerators etc.
Possesses base level knowledge of technology (e.g. Cloud, APIs, services, Windows stack, open source, database technologies.
Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.

The job may also entail sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Candidates should be able to effectively communicate by telephone, email, and face to face.
