Position Summary:
The Senior Financial Analyst utilizes knowledge of accounting and/or financial principles by reviewing, reconciling and consolidating submitted financial data of complex scope on a routine basis; collaborating with cross-divisional teams on the accurate and timely resolution of outstanding issues. They also serve as subject matter experts (SME) by providing in-depth analysis, review, and presentation of diverse financial reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support manufacturing and other operation functions.
Provide a contribution to close processes on a routine basis
May provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities
Provide essential contributions to the efficacy of operations through identification, analysis and maintenance of data; supporting management in the development and implementation of process improvements and initiatives
May participate in process reviews, business process analyses and internal control testing; ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), and other regulatory requirements within the assigned function(s)
May serve as a contact for cross-divisional teams
Assist with various projects as assigned by a direct supervisor
Lead internal cost accounting function, including period cost analysis and annual cost role
Responsible for the accuracy of the standard cost system
Develops yearly standard costs for all inventory items - material cost updates, labor rates, and department overhead rates.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Degree in Finance / Accounting / Business; CPA/CMA and/or MBA a plus
5+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting within the manufacturing industry
Cost accounting experience in manufacturing/project environment preferred
Detail oriented with strong analytical and organization skills
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Power BI Experience is a plus.
Oracle experience is preferred. Oracle Business Objects/Business Intelligence experience is desirable
Knowledge and understanding of budgeting, forecasting, US GAAP, SOX and other common accounting practices
Desired Characteristics:
Able to work independently with minimal supervision and alternately within a team environment
Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of management
