Description:

The Medical Social Consultant will conduct diagnostic assessments and provide evidence-based psychotherapy services for adult patients in the Department of Psychiatry. A strong background in multidisciplinary consultation and evidence-based therapy psychotherapy service delivery is essential. The consultant will also join a productive multidisciplinary team of clinicians dedicated to treating Long Covid.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Patient care. The consultant will join a productive multidisciplinary team of clinicians dedicated to treating Long Covid. The Medical Social Consultant will also conduct diagnostic assessments and provide evidence-based psychotherapy services for adult patients in the Department of Psychiatry.
Administrative duties. These would include attending meetings and conferences, assisting with collaboration of care within the Department of Psychiatry and Long Covid clinic. There is also a possibility of teaching and supervising SW interns in the future.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

Master's degree from an accredited school or university in social or behavioral science or a related health specialty area. Based on institutional requirements for each position:
Current State of IL Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Demonstrated prior experience and background in the provision of evidence-based psychotherapy services.

Preferred Qualifications:

A background in evidence-based psychotherapies such as ACT and CBT.
