Job Description
Senior Software Engineer for Paylocity Corporation in Schaumburg, IL to create, enhance, and support common features of the company’s software products. Participate in the complete software development life cycle in an agile environment, including conducting technical design, hands-on coding, unit testing, performance tuning, maintenance, test automation, deployments, and upgrades in the complete software development life cycle. Requires: Bachelor’s degree in applied computer engineering, computer engineering, information technology or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience in performing full-stack web development, Client-Side Programming (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX), SQL, and .Net, C#. Experience must include (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Demonstrated Expertise (DE) performing front-end technologies: React, Angular, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, HTML, CSS; DE performing object-oriented design, development, unit-testing, Web Services, and web pages, using ASP.NET or ASP.NET MVC with C#, using .Net Framework 3.5+, .Net Core, Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), XML, and REST API; DE working on Design Patterns, advanced Multi-threaded programming, and developer tools, such as Visual Studio, Postman, and VS Code and performing object-oriented analysis and design; DE working with cloud technologies: AWS Lambda/Azure Functions, DynamoDB/Cosmos DB, Redis Cache, Rabbit Queue,
and using APM tools: Datadog and ELK/Kibana/AppInsights to ensure optimal application efficiency; and DE using PostgreSQL, Snowflake, NoSQL, SQL Server, Stored procedure, Entity Framework, and ADO.Net.
