Job Posting Title: Supervisor, Air Export Gateway - Franklin Park
Time Type: Full Time
An Air Export Gateway Supervior is responsible to overseeing the export of goods by air freight, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of cargo, maintaining strong relationship with customer, warehouse, and vendors. This role requires excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as a deep understanding of logistics and the supply chain management. Monitoring the movement of cargo across the USA via the Intermodal System that we have in place.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the export of goods by air, including carrier selection, bookings, and domestic movement of goods.
Develop and maintain relationships with USA and overseas offices, and other third-party service providers.
Making sure that there is appropriate capacity for bookings received.
Identify and implement process improvements to reduce cost, improve service quality and enhance customer satisfaction.
Reviewing Cargowise shipments to ensure Hazardous and In Bond shipments are declare correctly with the export carrier.
Collaborate with other internal gateway offices, such as logistics and operations, to ensure we maximize the utilization.
Working with the accounting department to make sure the correct billing is applied to the consolidations.
Work with the warehouse team on priorities.
Send Sailing Notifications to USA origin stations and overseas.
Communicate with steamship lines.
Make sure appropriate equipment is utilized based on volumes.
Align with management on cost, processes, and operational needs.
Educational background / Work experience
College degree preferred or minimum 2 years' experience.
International transportation, Global logistics & Supply Chain seminars.
