Your Role:
The Senior Financial Analyst supports the Acute Segment (~$800M in Sales) in delivering product profitability analysis through new product Business Cases and other variance analysis. This role will also support the Global R&D and Global Marketing business partners and for overall operational expense management.

What You'll Be Doing:

Partner with Local FP&A and Corporate resources within commercial and manufacturing/supply chain organizations to develop financial models to support decision making ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

Support R&D and Global Marketing Functions (~$200M in annual spend) by coordinating with the FP&A COE, Accounting COE and other cross-functional leads to support monthly activities, creation of budgets, forecasts, and management reports, while ensuring compliance with all quality / control requirements.

R&D Finance Systems: Liaison between IT, Finance COE and R&D teams to ensure proper accounting flow and reporting.

Perform variance analysis to understand the key drivers of the results and share the commentary to senior managers for major variance vs plan / forecasts

Perform strategic ad hoc reporting and financial analysis to assess business performance and facilitate decision making

Support Finance leadership with process improvement, policy development, and / or strategic initiatives.

What You'll Bring:

Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required.

3+ years of relevant experience.

Excellent financial modeling skills preferred

Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with business partners.

Strong analytical skills, familiarity with accounting and strong business acumen

Strong ownership mentality; maintains focus on driving projects to completion and delivering output/results

Ability to work cross-functionally and lead multiple priorities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Working Knowledge of JD Edwards (JDE), IBM Cognos or Planful

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $80,000 to $110,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
